Launching Fall 2025
Documentary Southeast is forming as a nonprofit center devoted to presenting documentary film and photography. Based at Mars Landing Galleries in Mars Hill, NC, the center will be the first of its kind in the American Southeast when it opens in Fall 2025.
Documentary Southeast will give audiences their first taste of what’s ahead for the center through Real to Reel ’25. Films will range short to feature-length documentaries, from seasoned filmmakers in Western North Carolina and around the country.
Opening weekend is Oct. 10-12, with the closing program Nov. 14-16.
